January 1, 2010 Hirsh and GB Music President Gary Borress attend the New Years Eve performance of Chuck Berry at BB King's in Times Square. Rock and Roll!!!! December 15, 2009 Hirsh has begun work on the forthcoming Willie Nile CD, "The Innocent Ones". This album picks up where "House of 1000 Guitars" left off. This is an amazing collection of songs by Willie and Frankie Lee. Steuart Smith, guitar guru for the Eagles is featured on this record. Hirsh says of Steuart's tracks, "they are flawless, spot on with Frankie's incredible pounding. The tone he gets, the feel, the innovative play with Willie's vocals...all of it such a joy to listen too. AND, I get to mix it...it doesn't get any better!!!" November 1, 2009 Hirsh has been asked to join the Board of Directors for the Boston Minstrel Company. The Minstrels are a lively troupe of volunteer singers and musicians who have seen how music heals, having visited shelters, residential facilities and prisons each month since 1991. Their interactive pop, rock and folk events touch audiences of about 4,000 each year. Hirsh brings to the Board a wealth of experience being a seasoned touring musician. September 3, 2009 More Willie Nile news...a second single has been released off the "House of 1000 Guitars" CD. "Magdalena" a Stones meets the Clash rocker is blasting holes in the speakers of radio stations around the world. Little Steven loves this tune and is featuring it regularly on his Sirius channel, The Underground Garage. When asked about his approach on mixing this tune Hirsh says, "It simply had to kick ass. I would listen to early Stone's tracks, some Ramones, Gloria by Van Morrison...and then put up Magdalena. I wanted it to be rough and loose but I also wanted the clarity and space that one gets mixing in the digital age. I think it sounds great on the radio!!!"
Work on the Stacey Dexter single is complete, Hirsh mastering in New York with Fred Kevorkian at Avatar Studios (formerly The Power Station). June 1, 2009: Willie Nile's single, "Gimme Tomorrow" mixed by Hirsh, reaches #38 in the Billboard Triple A Charts. Hirsh says, "mixing Willie's tunes was a tremendous thrill. Knowing that you are creating the final picture of the incredible musical efforts of musicians like Frankie Lee, Stewart Smith, Brad Albetta, Andy York and Rich Pagano is an honor. Everyday in the studio I would marvel at the gift Willie presented to me!" Hirsh continues to audition projects for the coming year and is currently working on the Stacey Dexter single "Sometimes Love" co-written by Hirsh and Stacey. Featured on the song is famed guitarist Johnny A.
April 2, 2009: Hirsh has mixed 9 songs for Willie Nile's new CD, HOUSE OF A THOUSAND GUITARS, due out April 14th on GB Music/River House Records and distributed by Sony/RED. It's an amazing effort and we hope you check it out. Go to www.myspace.com/willienile to hear a few tracks.

New England had a great time at their recent reunion concert. They met up with their fans at a meet and greet as well as some old friends backstage.
Here is what people thought of New England's performance at last year's Music For Middlesex show!!! " My friends in the band New England and I go way back, and it appears they have successfully negotiated time travel. In seeing their reunion performance at last year's Music for Middlesex [ PH Productions], I realized time travel, time warps or worm holes in space could be the only way to explain how these guys look and sound as if no time had passed at all since we last cavorted. Well done, lads. " Jon Butcher The band "New England" reunion performance at the Music for Middlesex 3 benefit far surpassed any ones' expectations that evening. For me it was the tightest, right on, rock-n-roll set I've ever heard. Jimmy, John, Hirsh and Gary catapulted you back in time with such force and energy that you actually were watching "New England" as if they were still at the height of their career. To be honest these guys can put younger men to shame and did. Love them, Love them, Love them! CC CAROLE-www.everythingshow.com I remember seeing, feeling the electricity in the air at that New England show. Powerful, very powerful. John & Jimmy executed precision like I hadn't heard in years. Hirsh played with a "childlike joy" and abandon that was inspiring beyond words. And once again Gary had the best Rock Bass sound with his unmistakable perfect intonation. They were the best band in the world that night........by far ! Enzo Smith-Dead End Kids
New England was on fire as they blew the amps and smoked the stage last week at the '05 Music For Middlesex May Performance. No younger or older band had anything on them this night! They Rocked!!!!!

" I was blown away watching them last year in Middlesex. I remember hearing "Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya" on the radio when I was 18, and to see them play it live was simply amazing. The band was tight and the energy was awesome. I can't wait to see them again this year!" Randy Smith - 8084
